To the farthest possible place. Today I leave Andhra and my destination is Poonch in Jammu&Kashmir.

Andhra gave me the most precious of moments and a unique relationship to cherish for the r error of my life. Will post about it later...

Now it is time to move on. Wonder what destiny has in store for me...

One of the earliest posts in this blog was about an injured dog abandoned by its owner in the streets of Kozhikode. Almost a year later, I come across similar reports almost daily in the news papers. There is a small difference though, this time around it is the old, helpless men and women who are being abandoned in the streets of God’ Own Country. Over the last one week, three such incidents have been reported from different parts of Kerala. One fine morning, an old couple was found abandoned in the outskirts of Kozhikode. THE TIGER IS ON THE MOVE

My nation celebrated 79th Independence Day on 15th August. The Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi hoisted the tricolor and addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. This year's speech had a strong undercurrent of a confident country on the move. Since last few years, Bharath has adopted the Nation First Policy and has followed it unabashedly. To put it bluntly, we do not care what other countries preach. We have a nation to build and we are steadfastly doing it brick by brick. Tariffs, sanctions and other punitive measures can not deter us from our path. And yes, if the world force us to fight a war, we are ready.  The worrisome factor is irresponsible opposition that we have elected. Raul Vinci has long since been engaged in destructive politics. But, we have the RSS to serve and save our nation from such demonic conspirators. The Prime Minister mentioning RSS in his Independence Day speech is a fitting tribute to the world's biggest social organization.

The national media ignoring critical issues....

We Keralites often complain about the step-motherly treatment meted out to our little state by the Central Government. Even when all the twenty MPs from our state were supporting the UPA government, the trend didn’t change. Especially when it comes to the Railways, Kerala has never got even a fair hearing so far. To my dismay, I find that it is not only the government that is ignoring my state. It is the national media as well.   In the era of electronic media, I often feel that the main stream news channels often ignore the significant happenings in the Kerala politics. One has to remember that Kerala has always been a social and political laboratory. From the world’s first democratically elected Communist Government to the successful coalition politics, we have always been the pioneers for others to follow.
