Fire bath in Monsoon Rain..

Image
The wailing of a distraught woman pierces through the dark sky.. as I strain to pick it up. It fades away.. Hamba Hamba, Bamba Bamba, Kamba Kamba.. A father-son duo running to escape from the impending downpour... the Hindu Hridaya Samrat would rue the birth of his offspring who lost the throne for the chair. The endemic warriors who set out to finish Sanatana Dharma is stranded on a wooden plank in the violent sea facing a storm. The cries from.. where is it from? Karnataka? no no, seems to be from Telangana. Or namadu Chennai? Is it from mana Telugu naadu? the make up is washed away by the heavy rain and the actor has to step on to the stage. The court has issued a warrant which will find its way to any of the four addresses on his four voter's Ids. Did he vote in all four locations? If Kamal could do a dasavatharam, abandon his own party to sit in thr Raja Sabha, a fellow actor can certainly be in four different polling booths simultaneously or otherwise. The Monsoon is gatherin...

The Peace Prize is in pieces

Image
The ink is yet to dry.. The gunpowder is already in the air.. The Peace Deal was never really about peace. It was a one-sided surrender. Even that failed to hold for 24 hours.  As for Mr. Trump, he has already moved on. He is locked in a serious fight with Melodi—sorry, Meloni—over a selfie, or rather, the absence of one. Meloni blasted Trump, and I dare say this is the beginning of the end. Not for Trump, but for the USA. Just like Great Britain's slow and steady demise after World War II, the world is witnessing another titan bite the dust. Only this time, it might just be faster, steeper, and far more painful. As for the rest of the world, we dont really care about Trump and by extension the USA. If it is of any real value, Mr. Trump may be given the Peace Prize, after all.

The Transactional Theater of a Peace Prize Aspirant

Pieceful Peace with the Piecful by the Peace Prize aspirant Trump. The headlines scream of a "permanent" peace deal between Peace Prize Aspirant Trump's USA and Iran—hastily announced by the self-proclaimed harbinger of peace, the PM of Pakistan. The only tangible outcome? Pakistan PM's social media handlers either finally learned how to use their dashboard or handed the account over to a first-class student just so the "breakthrough" could be posted without the usual humiliating fiasco of a 'DRAFT TO BE POSTED BY FAUJ PA' tag left in the text. After all, Mr. Trump is meeting Modi Ji on the sidelines of the G7 in Évian today. He desperately needed something to show—especially after the reckless US blockade strikes on ships caused tragic Indian casualties off Oman. He wanted to walk into that room looking like a savior, but India doesn't buy into transactional theater. This is a new India that refuses to absorb structural disrespect. Just recen...

Singham returns to devour them all..

K Annamalai IPS has resigned from the BJP. Nothing to mourn, nothing to panic. By letting the AIADMK dictate terms to the extent of denying a BJP member an MLA ticket, Amit Shah laid the trap. Either AIADMK had to win the TN for the NDA, or.... Annamalai is a core nationalist, a practising Hindu, a proven administrator and a star crowd puller who had Modi Ji's oft seen public support. By losing the elections for the NDA, AIADMK and the entire south Indian politics has to factor in the Singham - returns. This time around, he is not bound to coalition politics or power play. The majestic Singham's mere gaze mortifies them all. When he roars, the forest trembles in fear. When he is on the prowl.. Thank you TN voters.. You played right into the script.

The Three Mask-a-tears

Another Indian summer, ushered in by Assembly elections, reigns supreme in the sub-continent. The common man has again proved his mettle. The high and mighty masks have been torn. The shrieks are still loud and clear in the air. The chosen heir, M.K. Stalin led DMK to a spectacular defeat and lost in his own constituency. Very conveniently, this has opened the doors for his son to be the lead face of DMK. In Kerala, CPM was routed and the CM Pinarayi Vijayan barely scraped through while party villages around him washed away the blood flowing on the streets. However, the highly literate Keralites refused to opt for BJP as even the principal opposition. Still, the three BJP MLAs in the current assembly will be the de facto opposition. This has already been proven by the response to Vande Mataram controversy during the Governor's address in the assembly. While CPM chose to align with the ruling Congress led front on this issues, only the BJP MLAs questioned the protocol breach. The lo...

The surgery and beyond...

I had to undergo a minor surgery on my right lower leg to remove an infection caused by a burn injury induced by motor-bike silencer more than 3 years ago. It used to act up every now and then. But, off late, it had worsened a lot. Even though the pain was acute, I had ignored it or learned to live with it. Either way, things became too bad.  I was referred to Anantapur for a scan. But, the hospital which I approached suggested an immediate surgery to remove the worms which has infested the wound. To be frank, I would never have gone anywhere if I knew that a surgery was required. However, having went there and having seen the condition of my own leg, I decided to follow the advice given by our correspondent, Dr. Alekhya, who is working abroad and who checked my scan report and other test reports. The hospital, Kumar Hospital, Anantapur, was reluctant to admit a single person without any bystander for surgery. But, one of my student's father, an ambulance driver vouched for m...

THE TIGER IS ON THE MOVE

Image
My nation celebrated 79th Independence Day on 15th August. The Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi hoisted the tricolor and addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort. This year's speech had a strong undercurrent of a confident country on the move. Since last few years, Bharath has adopted the Nation First Policy and has followed it unabashedly. To put it bluntly, we do not care what other countries preach. We have a nation to build and we are steadfastly doing it brick by brick. Tariffs, sanctions and other punitive measures can not deter us from our path. And yes, if the world force us to fight a war, we are ready.  The worrisome factor is irresponsible opposition that we have elected. Raul Vinci has long since been engaged in destructive politics. But, we have the RSS to serve and save our nation from such demonic conspirators. The Prime Minister mentioning RSS in his Independence Day speech is a fitting tribute to the world's biggest social organization.
