The Mind Reader and The Meticulous vs The Blind and The Clueless

The Mind Reader...

The orator par excellence who connects with the audience not only by speaking a few lines in the local language but also by referring to the historical figures who are loved by the audience, acknowledging the local issues.

Now starts the politics. He connects the issues with possible solutions offered by his government urging the audience to support him. He also highlights the failure of the previous Or current opposition governments (at centre Or the concerned state) in addressing the issue. His connect with them is so strong that they shout at the translators transcending the barriers of language..

The Meticulous..

Always on campaign mode. Travelling across the country with special focus on upcoming elections. Giving speeches and interviews that exhibits thorough knowledge about the situation on the ground. Gives targets big enough to keep the workers on their toes and the opposition guessing....

VS

The Blind....

He can't see the change in the way people look at elections. He can't see that the Prime Minister is still the most popular leader. More importantly, he can't see which are the weak points of this government, issues on which NDA has not delivered. This causes great damage to his party and the nation as the result is that the opposition is not doing it's job. And the real tragedy, he doesn't cede space to any other potential leader in the opposition ranks.

The Clueless...

This includes those who are still waiting for the blind to get the enlightenment. As they don't have a clue as to what other options they have. Until that happens, they keep giving excuses. This also includes the tukde gang, the liberals and others of the same feather. They are clueless as to how their vicious narrative fails to tip the scale....

If you have read thus far, tell me...

Who is the Mind Reader....
Who is the Meticulous....
Who is the Blind.....
And
Who is the Clueless...

And this is my take on Karnataka election result .....

The North East and beyond...

India witnessed one of the biggest electoral coup in Tripura when the BJP stormed to power. This result was even more stunning as the saffron party didn't have any presence in the communist bastion even in 2014 when Modi wave swept across the nation.

Tripura elections was the first direct contest between the BJP and the Communists. The result has sent shock waves across the political spectrum. So much so that the elephant is willing to ride in the bicycle in UP. Telengana's KCR is being projected as the man to take on Modi in 2019. Even Owaisi supports him. Obviously, the opposition parties have lost faith in the perpetual learner, Rahul Gandhi, who never seems to accumulate any wisdom. Predictably, the old lady Sonia has started attempts to keep the Congress party at the helm of opposition unity. Clearly, Madam is unwilling to cede space to any other party or leader.

Well, the next stop is Karnataka. And a byelection to Chengannoor assembly seat in Kerala. If BJP manages to win the Kerala seat, it will cause great tremors in God's own country.

As for the Communists, their arrogance and allegiance to the outdated ideology keep them company as they try to hold on to the last straw. Even if BJP doesn't gain in Kerala, the people of my state have meticulously changed their government every five years. So, after the term of this LDF government, the Communists may not have any state in their kitty....

And that would call for another round of celebrations....

The churning gets intense...

Yes, the churning is getting more intense as India passes through a defining era in its post-independence history. Prime Minister Modi keeps taking bold decisions which deeply impacts political, economical, social and legal aspects of common man's life, the opposition seems forced to come up with uncommon tactics..

Fear mongering among minorities moved on to incorporate the caste dimensions of Hindu society. The media, the 'social activists' and the sacred 'NGO' have all become more and more impatient. I won't use the word 'intolerant', pun intended...

Attemps were made to get the veterans on board despite the fact that OROP became a reality, thanks to Modi government. Now, even the Supreme Court has been left entangled in this intensifying saga of Stop Modi movement.

For now, I won't go into the details of any of such 'breaking news' stories. Ahh, here comes another one....
Watch the news channels...

The power of ONE...

Another set of elections over.... This time around, it is a clear advantage for the BJP led NDA. The party has stormed to power in Assam and improved its position in West Bengal. However, the single seat that it won in Kerala is the icing on the cake.

Veteran leader O. Rajagopal has won from Nemom assembly constituency in Thiruvananthapuram. This victory is so much more sweeter, considering the fact that both the UDF and LDF had openly declared their commitment to keep BJP away from the Kerala assembly. I am sure Rajetttan's presence in the assembly will strengthen the state in more ways than one.

The NDA has increased its vote share considerably in God's own country. Predictably, the LDF which has returned to power (no surprises) is upset. I am afraid the state is in for really testing times. Especially, when the bugle is sounded for the Lok Sabha elections 2019, the violence will we widespread.

Still, it is really heartening to see Lotus blooming in this part of the country. It took a long time coming. But as is the norm, once it starts blooming, it will spread in no time....

Will the lotus bloom in God's Own Country?

Elections in Kerala have always been about kicking out the incumbent and bringing in the lesser evil. Over the last two decades, every government successfully antagonized the common man and got dethroned. The same is most like to happen this time also.

However, what makes this election interesting is the prospect of NDA winning a few seats. While this will not change the fate of this state in the immediate future, it would certainly jolt the UDF and the LDF. This state is badly in need of a third alternative.

So fingers crossed....

The judiciary itself is juvenile..

For quite a few decades, the common man in this nation has looked upon the Indian judiciary as the ultimate and only source of solace. The deep rooted corruption in the executive and the legislature has contributed to this perception. However, the judiciary has also been tarnished by corruption and favoritism in the recent years. This may be explained as the reflection of the society in which we live.

But the delay in delivering judgements can not be explained by any means. The usual excuses like under staffing and huge amount of litigation is not satisfactory.

Today's news report regarding a person who has been under trial for THIRTY FOUR YEARS shows just how silly our system is. The guy has been declared a juvenile after all these years. So the case has to be dealt by the juvenile justice board now!!!

(indianexpress)

Moreover, the perception that the rich and the mighty can easily get away with just about anything is gaining ground. The corruption case in which Tamilnadu CM Jayalalitha is an accused and the infamous hit and run case involving Salman Khan are some examples.

Wonder why a PIL is not filed against this system of cases being dragged till eternity. Any hope that the case regarding the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 Or the Ayodhya case will be decided in this century???

May be the judiciary should be transformed in to an MNC like structure with WTD, MTD, QTD deadlines, penalties and Service Level agreements and appraisals. An amusing thought indeed...
